<\/a><\/p>\nIn my opinion,\u00a0it\u00a0forces straight parents into\u00a0an awkward position of trying\u00a0to explain it all to their children, while simultaneously\u00a0 not sounding\u00a0negative or prejudiced\u00a0against the LGBT community.<\/p>\n
Ultimately,\u00a0it\u00a0seems\u00a0that they’re gathered together to take ‘pride’ in sticking it to the rest of mainstream society — as if to firmly and viciously say: THERE, TAKE THAT Mr. Uptight Straight Community! All the\u00a0while not seeming\u00a0to give one care about how\u00a0any of\u00a0it will affect the younger generations, or even society as a whole.<\/p>\n Ultimately, It all seems extremely selfish on the part of the LGBT community, and counter-productive\u00a0in the\u00a0building\u00a0of a unified society, as most traditional parents will never look upon such outward\u00a0appearances with any amount of favor whatsoever — much less, view it as a decent or wholesome value to teach their children and promote within their family.\u00a0It feels very unfair — especially coming from a group that so advocates fairness and equality.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n -TomZom<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Gay pride events have become mostly known for promoting one huge overriding issue that seems to stand out more than anything else.
